The Our Town Magazine staff has a heart for giving back to the community. Volunteering not only helps those in need, but it brings a sense of unity among the residents, businesses, churches, and volunteer organizations. We seek out diverse opportunities to enrich the lives of our neighbors, and to let others know how to get involved with each organization we volunteer with.

We all love our pets, and at Our Town Magazine, we want to highlight pets by providing our readers with pet-friendly articles containing information to help all pets live their best lives. We search for resources and amazing animals to bring awareness and love to our furry friends. From rabbits to canines, we love them all!

Town Topics-
Town Topics is a piece created for the mayors of Lexington (Hazel Livingston), Irmo (Bill Danielson), and Chapin (Al Koon) to come together and discuss the individual towns and how they collaborate and support one another. The three areas are a part of Lexington County and share Lake Murray at its center. In Town Topics, we relay information from the mayors on local news, community events, local businesses, schools and education, arts and culture, environmental issues, transportation and infrastructure, and public safety.
Chef’s Selections-
Who doesn’t love a great recipe?! We love a good recipe, and we love dining locally, therefore, we wanted to create something unique. Our Town Magazine’s Chef’s Selections rates the top shelf! We have local restaurants and others within the food industry submit one of their own recipes for all our readers to enjoy! It can be one from their own menu or it could be something completely different. We only know whatever it is, it’s guaranteed to be yummy!
